Hi, I’m Jon. This is the first successful blog or online journal I’ve kept (though it’s actually moved to jonsmock.com. I like WordPress, and I like my friends on WordPress. I’m also finding tons of great resources and people through blogging that have invested in my life.
More importantly, in October 2007 I married the love of my life, Emily. She’s amazing in every way.
I’m also a web developer.
[ About the blog ]
“Kings Pray” came from a sermon I heard at an ACF retreat (my campus fellowship while at Penn State). It was just mentioned in passing, but it rang with me for a while – something about a mighty king kneeling to honor God was an attitude I wanted to follow. “Ask for the nations” came from the worship song but also from an increasing desire to reach out to the lost. This blog probably does more spurring on of kings than finding the lost, but hopefully it keeps our focus where it needs to be.
