Well, we made it a year. We showed all the na-sayers. We fought the good fight. We done the good deed.

It’s been an awesome year. I love Emily, and this was by far the best year yet (of my life). I’m super excited to see what God’s going to do in the next year. House? Pets? Job stuff? Who knows what’s in store for us. And, congrats to the others who made it past the year mark recently.

For those that were wondering, our Anniversary date consisted of burgers and wings at the 4th Street Grille (Thanks for the tip, Spencer). Afterward we tried to go bowling at Faxon, but every lane was dedicated to the Monday night league. We then decided to rent Baby Mama, which we’re dying to see…except the power was out at Blockbuster, so they were closed. Ultimately we ended up watching one of the greatest movies of all time, and one I haven’t pulled out for about a year: Life is Beautiful (wikipedia). If you need to see it, borrow it from us. No, just go buy it right now. Now.

Edit: Before anyone says it, “done the good deed” was not referring to that.

Behold Emily as a child:

Guestbook section up!

July 29, 2007

I know you fellow bloggers were waiting for this one: the Guestbook section of our site is up!

Leave us a message!

I’m also working on the photos section, so be on the look-out for that! Everything gets an exclamation point! Yay! live!

July 19, 2007

This is perhaps a beta version or something as not everything on the page is up yet, but you can check it out here. Please let me know what you think, and for you fellow geeks out there, know that I did it with 100% CSS code. It’s a beautiful thing …the code at least. Hope you like the site!!!

(Please make suggestions and comments, so I know what else should be on the site/don’t feel insecure that nobody’s commenting at all) in the works!

July 18, 2007

I’m putting the final touches on the site, and it should be up this week. Hopefully we’ll have a place to write in our Guestbook, download pictures, and get some much needed info on our big day (Yes, we could have just done all this through, but where’s the fun in that – plus I’m learning CSS).

Wedding songs

April 26, 2007

We finally picked out the song to which we’ll dance with our parents:

Our song – “Feels like home” by Randy Newman (sung by Bonny Raitt)
With our parents – “Lullaby” by Billy Joel

I felt the man tears coming a bit, and Emily almost lost it listening to these. We’re really doing it, Harry.
